TAKING SMALL STEPS TOWARDS THE FUTURE

The International Organization for Migration (IOM Moldova) together with the Ministry of Labour, Social Protection and Family, the Republican Society for Social Protection of Youth – “Island of Hope”, the Rehabilitation Centre for Teenagers of Chisinau (CRAC) and the Association for Women and Youth “Art Elegant” have the honor to invite You to A Festival of talented children and organizations active in the child social protection domain “Taking Small Steps Towards the Future” (second edition) that will take place at the “Ginta Latina” theatre, 18 Sfatul Tarii str., beginning at 11:00, October 17, 2009. 200 children and teenagers from socially vulnerable families will participate in the Festival through the presentation of their talents. For three hours, Ginta Latină will provide children from all over Moldova with a place to preform beautilful songs, dances, presentations and selected theatre scenes. The Main Hall of the Theatre will host a workshop featuring confectioners, makeup specialists and hairdressers, from the Republican Society for Social Protection of Youth – “Island of Hope.” This event marks the European Union Anti-Trafficking Day (18 October), and the end of the month dedicated to fighting against human trafficking in Moldova. The EU Anti-Trafficking Day was celebrated for the first time in 2007 and represented an important event acknowledging the activities in preventing and combating trafficking in human beings.
