Potential trafficking victim stopped at Chisinau airport

Chisinau (IPN) Border guards at the Chisinau Airport prevented a 19 year-old-woman from taking an Antalya-bound flight following information that she could be a victim of trafficking in humans, Info-Prim Neo reports.

According to the Border Guard Service, the young woman recounted that she was recruited by an unidentified person who helped her obtain papers to reach Turkey, where she was expected by other persons.

The woman comes from Ivancea village, Orhei district. During the investigation, she will be sheltered by the Center for Combating Trafficking in Humans.
